As one of the major OEM Parts Suppliers for the automotive industry, AISIN EUROPE imports, exports and sales the parts produced in the main manufacturing plants and also controls the operations of various European manufacturing plants. Its customers represent the majority of the car manufacturer brands present in Europe.

Technical Marketing Assistant Manager (m/f)

Reporting directly to the senior director OEM Sales Planning, the jobholder will be responsible for monitoring technical trends in the European automotive industry and feeding back insights to Aisin Seiki HQ in Japan.

Main accountabilities

1.  Prepare a monthly European Trend Report :

– Gather information on relevant technical regulations in Europe form technical working groups;

– participate in industry specific conferences/events;

– gather information on new technologies/features used in vehicles/engines;

– participate in/monitor internal technical presentations.

2. Contribute to Quality Assurance :

– Participate in working groups in order to provide environmental information to the Aisin Europe Quality

Assurance department;

3. Internal product knowledge sharing :

– Monitor press releases and industry specific publications related to market and product specific items;

– provide technical background and explanation for new product presentations and product strategy sheets;

– gather information on specified competitors in order to prepare competitive analysis and product

benchmarking.

4. Support to sales and product planning :

– Update and maintain vehicle and engine cycle;

– preparing mid and long term sales plan;

– preparing product strategy sheets.

Required skills, experience & competencies

EDUCATION

Engineering degree (a must), mechanical engineering strongly preferred.

EXPERIENCE

Minimum 2 years of professional experience

SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES

– Very interested in automotive industry;

– high interest for the Japanese business culture;

– excellent communication skills at all levels;

– above average analytical skills;

– goal oriented and motivated : able to do focused/relevant research even if it takes a long time before seeing results;

– understands and believes in the benefits of information sharing and collective knowledge;

– open minded, flexible, out of the box thinking;

– able to make priorities and work within tight deadlines;

– respectful toward all stakeholders;

– fully prepared to travel (10 to 20% of the working time).

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE

– High standard of written and spoken English

– Knowledge of one additional language is an asset

– Mastering MS Office, especially Excel and Power Point
